Sandra Green

LEADERSHIP

Sandra Green, Secretary and Board of Directors

Sandra is a Tampa, Florida native born and raised in this great state, living in different areas as far south as Ft. Myers but eventually returning to her roots in Tampa Bay.

Sandra attended college at Hillsborough Community College where she studied business and received a business degree which served her well with her vast experience over the years of working for CPA’s doing bookkeeping as well as company taxes.

Sandra has always been a “multi tasker.”  Along with her husband, Don, they raised two wonderful sons, Drew and Clay.  The family was involved in everything from school and sports activities to community activities.  As a working mom, Sandra has always risen to the challenge and succeeded.

No matter where Sandra has lived she has always been a steady volunteer over the years for a variety of organizations. She began volunteering for SOAR immediately upon its inception in 2015 and has remained with the organization ever since.

As well as volunteering on a regular basis for SOAR, Sandra began volunteering for The Humane Society of Tampa Bay in 2018 knowing she could help more than one organization at a time when it came to helping animals in need. In 2019 she added volunteering at The David A. Straz, Jr. Center for the Performing Arts to her vast resume.

Sandra has had many pets over the years including a wonderful little ferret, Amber who lived a long life as well as an amazing little Shih Tzu Oreo, who crossed over to the rainbow bridge a few years ago, but will always hold a special place in Sandra’s heart .

Sandra has been a valuable asset to SOAR, planning and volunteering at our many fund raising events, bookkeeping, and shopping to help put together items for our numerous gift and raffle baskets. In 2018 Sandra became a permanent fixture with SOAR as both Secretary and a member of the Soar Board of Directors.

Sandra is very excited about the “newest” addition to her and Don’s life, the recent birth of their first grandchild Tristian.

Sandra has always strived for community involvement where ever she has lived and is a staunch supporter of animal rights as well as environmental concerns.

Sandra and Don reside in Tampa Bay with their two rescue dogs Tater and Niko.
